Solar life

Designed by Brian Fields.

BEAM- beam is an acronym for:
Biology, Electronics, Aesthetics, and Mechanics.

†††††††††††† This site is dedicated to showing you the Creations that I have created.† I find beam to be a great way to spend free time (which is coming more and more rare). I would highly recommend that any who are interest in robotics pick this up as a hobby. All it takes is a little research and patientsóThen you got it.

†††††††††††††††† Beam robots are incredibly adaptive to there environment. The surprising thing is that they donít use any microprocessors. Thatís the beauty of BEAM Robotics, there cheap, building them is relatively easy, and they are amazing to watch. Once you get a colony of them, they are like watching a fish tankóthe interactions are endless!

†††††††††††††††† Word of advice to beginners, skill in soldering and knowledge of some circuitry is highly recommended. Plus donít get upset when your first robots doesn't work (mine didnít).

Cautions-Soldering Irons are hot as I found out the hard way! (Look at your soldering iron before you grab it, that way you donít grab the wrong endóOUCH!)

Welcome to my Beam page!

Concerning the contest the final judging is not done (my apologies). I have yet to get all the results in. It has taken much longer then I thought it would. And now Iím going on vacation in the mountains for Christmas. There is no internet so I wonít be able to post the results if I get them. I get back on the 27th of December. When I get back I will be able to post the results and ship all the prizes. Sorry for the delay, wonít happen for the next contest. Well MERRY CHRISTMAS. Hope you all enjoy this great time of year!

Yet again I moved the contest deadline to the 10th of December for the last of the entries (but this is the last time that I will do it-unless you pay me large sums of money) so you get three extra days to finish up then the judging will begin.
